Mattel Adventure Park opens in 2024 with Bone Shaker and Barbie

When Mattel Adventure Park opens in 2024, it will be Arizona’s first fully-themed indoor/outdoor amusement park, with a life-sized Barbie Beach House and first-of-its-kind Hot Wheels Bone Shaker roller coaster.

Located in Glendale, Ariz., the nine-acre family-friendly park will showcase the iconic toy brand 365 days a year, including two Hot Wheels-themed rides: The double-looping Hot Wheels Twin Mill Racer, the first coaster in Arizona to feature a double loop and two corkscrews and Hot Wheels Bone Shaker: The Ultimate Ride, the first family coaster to feature the famous hot rod’s skull design.

“Mattel Adventure Park is an amazing opportunity to bring our beloved brands to life,” said Mattel Senior Director of Global Location Based Entertainment Julie Freeland. “Construction is underway and substantial progress has been made on what will give fans of all ages a day of thrills and nostalgia. We’re especially excited for families to experience the Hot Wheels Bone Shaker rollercoaster – a dream come true for any Hot Wheels fan.”

In November, we shared the first look at the Bone Shaker ride vehicle when it was revealed at IAAPA Expo in Orlando, Fla.

In addition to Hot Wheels-themed attractions, the park will include the following:

Mattel Adventure Park will take advantage of a unique indoor/outdoor design to provide a year-round air-conditioned space and ensure a “cool guest experience” in the Arizona heat.
